It is easy to ignore the orphan until you know their name.
This is Lizzie
and she is an orphan NO MORE!
This is my youngest daughter, Lizzie. She is spunky, and sassy, and a bubble of laughter! She is my little ray of sunshine! We met her for the first time on August 23rd, 2011, at our local Emergency Children’s Shelter along with her 2 year old brother. We picked up her baby brother 2 days later when he was released from a 3 week ICU stay at the age of 3 months old.
We’ve adopted all 3. Our lives have NEVER been the same.
God called us, and my husband tried his VERY hardest to hide his eyes and ignore the call.
Ignore the children.
Ignore those faces.
Please don’t look away from the faces.
Please don’t ignore them.
These are babies, children, teenagers, that need a home, that need a family. They need a chance.
It’s easy to ignore them when you don’t know their names.
Her name is Lizzie. She picked it out herself at adoption.
I am now the Mom of 7:
3 natural-born, 3 fostered and adopted, and #7 we are fostering.
I am very very blessed.
