I Heart Faces-Motherhood

Oh I had so many choices for this week!  It’s really hard to pick for this subject, it’s so near to my heart!

In honor of Mother’s Day and the hardest job ever on the planet….we are celebrating MOTHERHOOD!

This is one of my sweet friends I have been so blessed with!  She likes having babies…I like photographing babies….it works so well for both us!  :D

I dearly love the baby stage.  The snuggling, the rocking, and the nursing.  {sigh}  If only they would stay babies longer.  It really isn’t fair really.  Goodness I miss that.  Appreciate it while they are young, because it doesn’t last long.

I love this photo of Kayla.  I wish I had more photos of me with the kids when they were babies.  That is your challenge….take more photos WITH your kids.  They grow up so fast.

HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY!  Love yourself, appreciate yourself, and enjoy this time.

And always, be kind to others!

Beautiful photo, Dana! And such good advice.. time flies, and you don’t get do-overs. You totally nailed the theme, both in photo AND word!

Love this. And am feeling insanely old now that my kid doesn’t fit on my lap anymore.

    Just a beautiful shot!

Great lighting! I love how you can’t see the mom’s face. I think it adds to that mysterious connection between mother and child.

That is an amazing picture. It is simple yet very profound. I was struck by the small rocker, for when they were so young. The regular sized chair for when they are bigger. The door for when you have to say goodbye. That’s what came to mind. With her in the middle holding an infant…beautiful picture.

Beautiful photo! Yes, take more photos of you with your kids. And you’re such a great photographer, use your skills to capture precious moments with your young ones. Perhaps try with a mirror?

:) Yes, I have to remind myself to be in more photos. I almost used one I took of my daughter holding my hand for support on her first big girl carnival ride last week. :)

Such a perfect capture. I also have to agree; more photos with my daughter is something I’m going to work harder at. Need to hand the camera over to my wife more often. Thanks for the inspiration. :-)
